Cell Phone Do-Not-Call List

Are you getting cold calls on your cell phone like I am ? Telemarketing companies are calling and I am being charged for those calls when roaming.

The Federal Trade Commission has established the National Do-Not-Call Registry at 888-382-1222. You can register your home and cell phone numbers and this will legally block telemarketers for 5 years. (It takes 30 days for the block to take effect). This service is not available for business phone numbers.

You must place a separate call from each phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different number.

You can also do this online for all your phones at https://www.donotcall.gov/

And this is NOT an April Fool's joke!

I signed up after getting a few calls. I have had to remind a few people that I am on the do not call list. That seems to have put an end to them. Haven't gotten any recently.
