There was some discussion at the ASHI meeting about discussing a report with a later buyer after the original declined.
My interpretation of Sec 08.18.152 is
1. I can't repair for a fee what I inspect.
2. Inspect a property in which I have an interest - (not for love nor money).
3. Give kick backs to seller, licensee, or broker.
4. Give information to an subsequent buyer without a written release of the client unless
a. they request a new inspection.
b. there is legal proceeding
5. Can not resell the report to other clients with out written permission. Or take money from the husband and collect again from the wife.
6. get kick back from a handy man.
7. make my fee contingent on the sale going through or collection at close of escrow.
This is crude verbiage on my part but it is how I see the law affects me.
